Well, I had quite the weekend. For starters, my mom never made an actual appointment for my prom dress alteration. Once we arrived, we learned the place went out of business. So that was pushed to next Saturday. The Friday before that my boyfriend and I went shopping, where I picked up two belts from TJ Maxx. One of them ended up being far too small, so I had to return it, and I grabbed a different belt instead. I also got a nice top from New York & Company which had having two small pinholes at the shoulders which I didn't noticed when I purchased it, but I'm okay with that because they're too minuscule to notice, and I only paid $12 for it, rather than the $30 it was priced at. On Sunday, Matt and I also had to do last-minute fundraising for our Greensboro trip this week. I have been far too busy lately for my own liking. (Which is why I never posted the product reviews I said I would).
Anyway, today I dressed bright, wearing a sea foam-green and turquoise-blue ombre hi-low skirt (Forever21.Com; $22.80) and an off-white sleeveless top (Kohls; $17.50). I accessorized with my Steve Madden Flats (Payless; $34.99), my new Steve Madden Belt (TJ Maxx; $9.99), my New York & Company Watch , and some silver hoop earrings.
I intended to lightly curl my hair, but halfway through my curling iron died. Lovely, right? I couldn't use my curling wand to finish the job, either, as it creates a much tighter curl since it cascades from 1" to 1/2" and my other curling iron is 1" all around. I was stuck with a half-curled head of hair, so to make-do I french braided the other half of my hair until I reached the curled segment. I guess it worked.
I painted my nails with my new OPI nail polish in Mermaid's Tears. It went very well with my skirt! I will be, someday, posting a review of this polish.
Thanks for looking!
